Spanish term

perfiles de polipropileno

Non-PRO Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
I need a very vague and general word that will be easy for people who barely speak English that describes the seen in these photos. Any ideas?

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): franglish

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

The race is not about who gives the first answer but rather who gives the best answer. Askers have a right to be respected.

Always disappointing when those seeking help can't be bothered to take the 30 seconds required to select the most helpful answer (or not select a copied answer).

polypropylene/plastic profiles/cross-sections

Depends on the end use. Maybe you could just use "plastic frames" if the sections are to be used as frames (e.g. for windows), or "supports" if that is their end-use..... with such a vague question, one can only give vague answers..... HTH

Again depending on the end use: "rails", "guides", "runners", "tracks", ......

Of course all this is just "mono a mono", ha ha, ;@)
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : Not "plastic", though. But profiles seems the obvious choice in the absence of context.

Thanks Phil, Ben asked for "people who barely speak English", so I thought "plastic" might help dumb it down.
