English term

validation of figures

English to French Other Business/Commerce (general)
Does this relate to the number of temporary employees ?

While you have budgeted $875,000 for temporary employee staff, you know that due to
the past president's miserly ways you have quite a bit of cash on hand at your disposal to meet your overall strategic plans.
The new president has given you the authorization to "do whatever it takes" to meet the company's goals; all you have to do is go before the committee and validate the value of the incremental spending.

Furthermore, as part of the new forward thinking business strategy, the president
expects to see a validation of figures, department-by-department, in temporary employee staffing.
In the past, this issue has caused liability issues with high legal costs and poor exposure for BankSouth.
Your current staffing contracts expire in four months.
You have been dissatisfied with your current vendors and are interested in getting rid of them.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

audit

audit is the technical term for validating the figures in a company's accounts.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Germaine : le contexte tend davantage à une validation des besoins qu'à une validation comptable. Ce n'est pas l'audit comptable qui va leur faire éviter les frais juridiques.
