German term

Kommilitonen

German to English Science Physics
I'm afraid I can't give a lot of context here, but it is a possible answer to a question with multiple choice answers about:

Teilchen mit ganzzahligem Spin

Which I have translated as "particles with integral spin".

Kommilitonen are fellow studenst, and I can find no other translation for this term. Can anyone please help. Thank you

Excellent! have fun
Erik Freitag Dec 17, 2014:
Very nice! Nice one, well done! (You might want to spell that lowercase so as not to make it too simple ;-)
Sarah Lewis-Morgan (asker) Dec 17, 2014:
I've decided on Klingons. Fits nicely!
Erik Freitag Dec 17, 2014:
Agree I agree with the others, clearly a trick question.
Klaus Conrad Dec 17, 2014:
This seems to be the funny answer.
I would not translate but take anything with the ending "on",
Sarah Lewis-Morgan (asker) Dec 17, 2014:
Thank you, Thomas, too.
Sarah Lewis-Morgan (asker) Dec 17, 2014:
Thank you, Edith. I shall do that. I wanted to be sure before I did something stupid!
Thomas Pfann Dec 17, 2014:
Clearly a "trick question" in the style of "Who wants to be a millionaire?". A translation of "Kommilitone" (fellow student) won't work in English so use any random word ending in -on.
Edith Kelly Dec 17, 2014:
bosons is the answer just make up s.th. für Kommilitonen, yep, they are fellow students but Kommilitonen rhyme with Bosonen, Fermionen and Ionen. So call them whatever rhymes with bosons, fermions and ions.
Sarah Lewis-Morgan (asker) Dec 17, 2014:
The question is:

Wie nennt man Teilchen mit ganzzahligem Spin?

Other possible answers are: Bosonen, Fermionen & Ionen.

Could this be a trick question, or is there a scientific word that fits?
Ramey Rieger (X) Dec 17, 2014:
Hi Sarah PLEASE post AT LEAST the question involved and the other possible answers so there's something to work with, bounce off of, etc.

Selected

flacons, anions, grisons

just pick a word that rhymes with bosons, fermions and ions and that exists in English.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, all. Since you have confirmed that it is a trick question, I am closing this."

Pisons

It's got Particles and Integral Spin in it - and, AFAIK, doesn't exist (trick answer).

In contrast, a Bison does exist and is a particularly large and hairy particle, like many students when I was at university :-)
