In this role you will be responsible for assessments, Court documents and presenting evidence to the Court. You will have responsibility for planning for children in the care of the Local Authority which can be for rehabilitation, placement with friends or family, adoption and/or long term fostering. Local authorities are required to produce a Care Plan for use by the court for all children who are subject to care applications. This is one of the most important documents considered by the court, and should reflect the importance attached by the council to planning for children's future.
N.B. All children who are 'looked after' by the Local Authority, whether or not they are subject to proceedings, must have an individual Care Plan.
