Although “balance sheet effect” is a commonly used term in English (see the links below), I’d go with something less technical and more “journalistic,” such as “improve the bottom line,” for instance.

Monika, sure, thanx for your commen. Concur with the "skutki dla bilansu" part, unless the Polish is influenced by the English term, which is often the case nowadays with all these "loan words."
