"..will always keep him in the loop." That's how I usually translate it..
Discussion
Why don't you go with the most obvious expression? Presumably colloquialisms like "in the loop" and "on the ball" are not appropriate here.
That's what I came up with as well, I was wondering if there is a different expression.
