I am trying to translate the term "blé rustique" and was wondering if it might refer to "hardy or rustic wheat". I have tried various websites and dictionaries to no avail and have only managed to find the following French sentence containing this term:
"L'épeautre (spelt)est un type de blé rustique"

I did a quick check on Internet on the sites that sell spelt and natural wheat is how they would describe. Also there is a cereal that I like with spelt in it which is called "ancient grains".

I am not sure about this but I have heard about it in vegetarian circles. The French translation is "blé sarrasin" or "blé noir".
