Shareholders that accepted the take over bid

: Wrong context. In a takeover bid, they are offering to buy shares, not sell them

Shares subscribed
(Shares subscribed exceed 90% of the shares offered
acquiring stocks

: This is essentially correct, but "acquisition of more than 90% of shares" would be far better English

Discussion
As you said, the bidder makes an offer to the target company's shareholders to buy the target company's share. In Japanese, this act is called as 買付の募集, not 応募.
The shareholder who wish to sell their shares to the bidder must offer their shares to the bidder. This process is called 応募. Thus, 応募株式 means the shares offered to the bidder's offer.
Whne bidder actually bought the shares offered, these sahres can be called the "acquired share" and it is called as 取得株式 in Japanese.
In certain case, the bidder does not need to buy all 応募株式 to him. Therefore, 取得株式 is not exactly the same meaning with 応募株式.
