French term

CCP

French to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space Electronics
This appears in the ruling on a wrongful dismissal case for an aircraft electronics technician.
The captain of the plane on which the technician was working reported that the technician had left the door of the plane open while he was working in it.
This is his testimony:

Départ CDG;

Can anyone help me, please?

agree Tony M : Seems conclusive! Though this is of course the translation for the whole term 'meuble CCP', and not just 'CCP' on its own.

neutral Carlos Segura : Yes, but the reference gives "Cabin Operation Center ou COC".

chef de cabine principal - chief purser

I suspect that the term CCP on its own stands for chef de cabine principal (chief purser) here and that meuble CCP refers to the chief purser's workstation or, as suggested by Ronald, Cabin Operation Centre or COC, with slightly different terminology being used by different airlines.

See this glossary:
CCP Chef de cabine principal

For various discussions on the different terms used (PWS purser work station, PCC purser control centre, COC, CCP, etc) see:

I asked on a quebeco-french forum about seat 1A on A380 and somebody told that it is a bad seat because of proximity of the Cabin Operation Center (purser work station) and also by the stair.

agree B D Finch : Correct research of the French, and OK they do exist on planes as per following ref. "Cabin Manager (chief flight attendant) is often called the purser" - One learns something every day! See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purser
