Naoki-san's reference is excellent. Regardless of how ファイ is rendered by the manufacturer (phonetically or referring to the Greek symbol), a "fidapter" is the accessory required to connect a variety of torque imparting tools to the torque tester, not an adapter to feed to the HIOS instrument considered data collected by a different device, as I assumed.
