Norwegian to English Medical Medical (general)

"Setter inj med Marcain + CC i rot cuff intervallet."

More doctors abbreviations! Had initially thought "cocodamol" but reckon this may well be "cortisone" - I gather that it is common to inject marcain with cortisone, and that cortisone provides immediate relief (reported by pat. in these notes) - but would appreciate a second opinion.

You are right, it is most likely that they refer to cortisone, a cortico-cortisol steroid (hence CC). Common practice is to inject a painful joint with a mix of local anaesthetic (like Marcaine) for immediate relief and a steroid for reducing the inflammation. You should probably translate it as corticosteroid, as there are other types than Cortisone.
