Slogan chanted in demonstration
This is a slogan which the British newspapers said the the supporters of Prime Minister Erdoğan chanted at a recent demonstration "Go, captain, gas them! Break their hands". I cannot vouch for its veracity.
What would this be in Turkish? The gas referred to is, of course, tear gas. I make no comments as to the rights or wrongs of crowd behaviour. I cannot find a neat Turkish verb for the above entry. 'Ver onlara biber gazı!

This would be my favoured answer because of the news reference that supports it. Thanks to all. |
I'm not sure what sık means in this context so I would be grateful for an elucidation of this. Is it from sıkmak or is it the adverb sık? |
