Discussion

Ramey Rieger (X) Apr 30, 2013:
Thanks, David I'm glad your linguistic competence doesn't feel threatened. It's good to know that there are translators out there with an elastic mind! I'd say enjoy the holiday, but I guess you won't have one tomorrow, will you?
David Hollywood Apr 30, 2013:
I agree with Ramey that you should be cautious with this one ....
Ramey Rieger (X) Apr 29, 2013:
That's a pity, actually because the term is simply wrong. You just cannot add or include a title to an album. The rights cover the album and further works.
Ramey Rieger (X) Apr 26, 2013:
Yes David but in the music business this is called something different. No offense intended. Have fun.
David Hollywood Apr 26, 2013:
I agree entirely that you can't add new tracks to an album that has already been released but you CAN add them to a subsequent version
Ramey Rieger (X) Apr 25, 2013:
@Bryan Yes! Post it, please!
Bryan Crumpler Apr 25, 2013:
I was thinking the same, Ramey. There's no way to add/include other tracks once a disc has been stamped from a glass master or burned for low-run duplication. You'd have to re-release it, or include a 2nd disc all together as a bonus disc.

Scratch what I said before.

I'd probably go a step further and simply state:

später eingekoppelter Titel/Singles = derivative works

"derivative works" will cover titles included on compilation albums, singles, remixes, sampled tracks and the like.
Ramey Rieger (X) Apr 25, 2013:
Perhaps it could also relate to further versions - extended, dance-floor, muzak, techno - that are based on the original version on the album. Once the album is finished, there is no way to add new songs/compositions unless the album is re-released. In this case, I would suggest "re-released" or "new releases".

"Strawberry Fields Forever" was intended for the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), as it was the first song recorded for it, but was instead released in February 1967 as a double A-side single with Paul McCartney's "Penny Lane". "Strawberry Fields Forever" reached number eight in the United States, with numerous critics describing it as one of the group's best recordings.[4][5] It is one of the defining works of the psychedelic rock genre and has been covered by many artists.[1] The song was later included on the US Magical Mystery Tour LP (though not on the British double EP package of the same name).

thanks Joel :)
disagree Ramey Rieger (X) : This is a re-release, not included on the original album - which is impossible
