Reenvía / reenvíe
reenviar is the correct verb, and if you ask someone to forward a message you say either "reenvía" (tú) or "reenvíe" (usted) depending on who you talk to

Question:
does this therefore mean that there is no distinction between forwarding (to a third person) and resending (to the same person, when there has been a technical problem, or the message has been added to/amended)?

: Good question! Doesn't seem to be a distinction. In phone calls, "forward" is "desviar".
