Telecom(munications)
When a new device is turned on, the switch automatically selects that input. For example, if you switch on your cable TV, the HDMI switch will automatically switch to the cable TV. Turn the currently selected device off and switch automatically selects the next higher numbered input that has an active signal (1 -> 2 -> 3...)
Note: Some source devices stay in a stand-by mode even when you think they are switched off and always maintain a connection with the switch. This non-compliant behavior does not allow the HDMI switch to perform its auto switching. You can test this by looking at the HDMI switch LEDs after switching off your inputs.
Apple TV is one such non-compliant device. Please verify all your input devices by looking at their LEDs when they are powered off.
