Hi all -
I was wondering how this seemingly simple legal phrase translates into English...
Here is the whole context:
De plus, les questions sur la recherche et le développement sont sous objection mais on va laisser le témoin répondre sous reserve.
My best guess:
Furthermore, the questions about research and development are subject to objection (?) but we will allow the witness to answer _______.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

@ opera1 : I just noticed your discussion entry and suggest "under advisement" as an alternative that would fit better in the context of: Me Dupont (sous réserve): "blah blah blah."

Comment: "without prejudice seems to be the most generally applicable answer. However this Canadian government site:
http://www.ae-ei.gc.ca/cgi-bin/recherche/ae/gen/recherche-fra.aspx?p1=sous+reserve&p3=internet01_fra&p5a=d&p5b=4&p5c=a&p7=2
gives "under advisement" which was also suggested here in a comment.
Thanks for all the helpful answers!"
