I'm stuck on whether to translate it as initialise "with" 0 or another preposition, such as "at".

neutral Alexandru Pojoga : reset = "return to original value"; initialize = "set value for the first time". So I'd go with initialize.

can also use Initialize (depends)

initialize to 0

Just to court unpopularity, there are over 5000 google hits using this term in a telecommunications context. Reset and initialize are two different concepts.
