Blister förpackning

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering
In a list of medical tech. parts. No real context. Isn't this "shrink wrapping"?

What is the difference with "Blisterbricka"?

outer blister packing

I think shrink wrapping is incorrect because it implies a plastic film wrapped around the object. Blister packed means the object is in a sort of plastic bubble or blister or alternatively it means a special type of material is used which consists of two layers of plastic stuck together but with air bubbles in it at intervals

a blister tray gives the idea that the tray has several objects on it and is enclosed in a plastic bubble like some aircraft meals.

agree Peter Linton (X) : Yes, blister or bubble packing - both expressions are used. I agree it's not shrink-wrapping. I think I would say 'packaging' rather than just 'packing'.

blister pack

Does your question refer to some kind of packing?
Not the sort of blister (injury) resulting from burns for example?
