Indemnización por client
Just done a translation for a client being sued in Spain for Compensation for Goodwill. They are reviewing the Spanish lawyers response to the claim and want to ensure that said Counsel are clear on all the key matters
My client phoned to say he didn't understand this sentence, and was it correctly translated. It seems OK to me, and that it may be the Spanish legal team who have misunderstood s'thing
La demanda hace alusión a la respuesta dada a dicho requerimiento por parte de los asesores de XXXXXXXX y alega que en dicha carta se rechaza la solicitud de indemnización de YYYYYYYY sobre la base de nuevos motivos para el cese más allá de los contenidos en la carta de resolución de 27 de mayo
My translation...
The claim refers to the response to the demand by XXXXXXX's advisors, and alleges that in this letter the request for an indemnity payment made by YYYYYYYY, based on new grounds and which went further than the content of the resolution dated 27 May, was turned down
(XXXXXXX is my client)
Appreciate any feedback

Quite clear
I find it quite clear, although you could word it in a different way:
The claim refers to the response given by the advisors of XXX to the demand. This response alleges that the request for indemnity payment made by YYY is based on new reasons for the termination, beyond what is expressed in the resolution dated 27 May, so it was rejected.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I think this makes it clearer, tho the client remains confused, from which we can assume that the Spanish legal team who have misunderstood this point.
Many thanks everybody!"

The claim refers to the response, by xxxx’s advisors, to the demand in question, and it alleges that
From a purely grammatical point of view, a few things could be made a little bit clearer. It seems to me that there are a number of small but significant in-built ambiguities in the Spanish text, which are inevitably enhanced by translation. In theory, legal language has been invented for the sake of clarity, in practice... ((grunts)).
Below are brief explanations for my suggested alternative text:
"The claim refers to the response, by xxxx’s advisors, [>> to eliminate ambiguity] the demand in question [>> to eliminate ambiguity], and it alleges that in that letter of response [>>added to clarify], the request for a compensation [>> correct term] payment to be made to yyyyyyy on the basis of new grounds for this decision [>>to eliminate ambiguity], additional grounds [>> repetitions are inelegant, but clarity takes priority!] to those included in the letter of resolution from the 27 may."

Discussion
A bit of restructing of the sentence is also in order.
You have also omitted "para el cese", and a precise translation of that again will depend on CONTEXT we do not have, so you decide.
