Причины отсутствия ответа на лечения (шизофрения)
1. medication non-adherence (if due to side effects, try another SGA. if not due to side effects, consider a depot preparation.), 2. incorrect diagnosis (consider SCID interviews of non-responsive patients), 3. substance abuse (check urine, if in doubt and patient consents), 4. ‘covert’ side effects (patient feels lousy’ on medication but does not have typical side effects — consider trial of a different antipsychotic), 5. psychosocial stressors (ask about changes in home, work, finances, etc.), or 6. undiagnosed or uncorrected general medical problem such as diabetes (get routine labs — CBC, thyroid function tests )
