French to English Law/Patents Law (general)

I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as to what this is please. In a writ of summons, the Court of Appeal is asked to "DONNER ACTE à xxx de ce qu’elle demande que la provision qui lui sera allouée par la Cour soit consignée par xxx entre les mains du Trésorier de la Chambre des avoués près la Cour d'appel". Is the "chambre" a board, panel or something similar, or am I on completely the wrong track? Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
