: "sales floor" is a very colloquial way of expressing A SHOP sales area. Technically UK English would use "showroom" (NEVER "showroom floor" - this is INCORRECT usage) . We say "shop floor" & th difference with "floor" &"showroom" would depend on context.

Car showroom / Car sales showroom
In UK car sales areas are usually (and technically) referred to as "showrooms" due to the display aspect of these spaces.

"showroom"
"A room used for displaying a company's products. Most commonly, a showroom refers to the area where an automobile manufacturer displays its various models of cars."
http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/showroom.html
In UK we use the term "showroom" to explain the inside area of the space which sells cars/automobiles. It can refer to the place generally, or the inner room of the building itself.

: cred ca se refera la spatiul DIN incinta showroom-ului, nu la showroom-ul in sine; asta inteleg eu din explicatii ... the show room is inside, but inside the showroom there are: cubicles, displays, the showroom floor, counters ... see discussion

The "showroom" IS inside.//But the "showroom" DOES refer to the inner part of the showroom building, this is why it is called "SHOWroom" - the word "show" refers to the display in the area, which is inside.// "sales floor" -used for shops & smaller items.

Discussion
In addition. Your links say "showroom floor", this is down to usage. I have not said using floor is impossible, but context and usage of terms is just as important to consider as technical labels when translating. The links express the idea "on a showroom floor" given the context where it works. In English we can't just take any term and apply it wherever - i.e. English is based on correct usage according to context and structure. If my description is confusing, maybe you need to refer to a dictionary, an English grammar book, or an English teacher in order to understand the way UK English speakers refer to things and write/speak.
