English term

Push to mod

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng Paint manufacturing
I have no context at all. It's a list of phrases which will appear in a web site, related to paint manufacturing.

From internet I've never felt such a push to mod my car. Lowering the Fit suddenly seems like a much better idea than before.

the gun its for in your menu and in the top right of the pip boy it will tell you what to push to mod the gun, if you have parts for it.

but all of us with rims still have our warranty, and yes there is many dealers who push to mod your car and even sell aftermarket products. ...

Personally I've never come across the term. Must be American I suppose, not English.

Thank you!! Yes, you are right, but all the context I have is what I say above, it's just a list of terms and phrases for a paint manufacturing company web site.

DLyons I was just about to put impulso de modernizar, which is what I think it means but modificar could be it. Put it down.
DLyons Apr 26, 2011:
Almost impossible to say The most common meaning is probably something like "This gave me the impetus (=push) to mod(ify) [something or other]"

And there's always context!
Who, what where, when, the other phrases ...

I'd usually translated "mod" as "tunear", but this is clearly not suitable here. Therefore, I'd go for the more neutral "modificar".

Mi lectura, tratándose de un fabricante de pinturas, va más en el sentido de "tunear" que dice Alistair. Me sugiere que se trata de una opción para escoger un color o gama de colores y personalizar el tema en cuestión (una habitación, un coche, lo que sea...) a tu gusto
