English term

fingerling/ alevin

English to Spanish Other Zoology Aquaculture
Hi, would appreciate your help on this:

I always translated fingerlings as "alevines" in Spanish, but in the phrase they have "fingerling" AND "alevin". What distinction could I make between the two?

Context:
"Seedlings Sources (Species specific: Ova, smolt, fry, fingerling, larvae, alevin, spat, nauplii and post larvae, others)

The OED gives "finglerling" as a name for the parr which is the life stage between fry and before leaving for the Atlantic.

esguín/murgón is the stafe after alevin.
