retro-planning de résolution

French to English Law/Patents IT (Information Technology) Contract
This is in a contract between a provider of electronic payment services and a client. I have looked at the entry for "retro-planning" already on Proz but am still not sure what this means. It is the clause on force majeure and what the parties will do if the force majeure event lasts longer than three months, other than terminate the agreement.

= reverse scheduling

or "retrospective planning".
This method is used, when the project is planned back from the date of it's completion, i.e. "from the end back to the beginning", not from the start as usual

Deadline and step by step process

I think you'll have to explain this in the English version. Perhaps something like "to fix a deadline and draw up a schedule to resolve the problem step by step". All that is implied in the French.
