Bullet points on a resume:
Captation du spectacle au Centre XXX (name of venue)
Captation du spectacle de la tournée internationale de YYY (name of performer)
Although it is clear from the page heading that the goal of this "captation" is the production of a DVD, I still feel that "recording" has too much of an audio connotation. Any suggestions? Thanks.

...is absolutely fine; it may be an audio or video recording, or both, or even other possiiblities again
I'd advise against trying to look for difficulties where there are none, which risk pushing you towards an unnatural alternative.
Otherwise, you could use 'shooting', which makes it clear that it is visual material.

filming
I agree that recording makes you think of music but if you know it's for a DVD release, you could say "recording for DVD of performance at xxxxx". Otherwise, I think filming of performance at xxxx would work here.

captured on DVD
I think this should be specific enough.

: But not natural! And it is very likely it would actually be 'captured' on some other format before finally being issued or published on DVD.
