Compound words There is something squirmy about the entry; it is a pretty hard
rule in Swedish that when a compound word that takes on yet an addition
at the end, the last addition is preceded by an "s". Cf järnvägbom and
järnvägsbom. So "synfält_s_us" with just one s tells me that the trailing member is just _us, not _sus (if the latter, it would have been
spelled synfältssus). Thus "examination" where the trailing word is
just "us" (for undersökning) makes perfect sense.
