Spanish term

que aunque no pertenece a recibos si va a recibir

Spanish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
I am looking for some help translating the following phrase: "que aunque no pertenece a recibos si va a recibir"

Claudia Reynaud Dec 21, 2010:
I'm with Charles on the part that "en recibos" means some sort of department or area, and that even though he does not work in that specific department, he does perform some of the functions of personnel in that department.

What I understand... is that the drivers hand over their takings to JRP, APG and RT; and that these persons are responsible for bookkeeping of the takings. And that this is nothing to do with paying them money for working.

the money that the drivers give, where does it come from? Are they taxi drivers?
Bill Harrison (X) Dec 21, 2010:
Recibos, if a department, is more likely to be billing. When I receive and pay the 'recibo de la luz' it is really a bill.
SMLS (asker) Dec 21, 2010:
Thanks for your help Charles.
Charles Davis Dec 21, 2010:
OK. Good luck.
SMLS (asker) Dec 21, 2010:
Unfortunately this is all I have. The client is in a different time zone and I will be unable to contact them before delivery. The text is missing accents, some of which I have replaced when copying the text accorss.
Charles Davis Dec 21, 2010:
Without more context I for one find it difficult to guess exactly what's going on here. I think "sí" should have an accent (though it may well not in your text). Sounds like bribes or some kind of non-legit payment, if the boss is saying he doesn't want to hear gossip. I read it as saying that the first two, JRP and APG, are "in receipts" (in the receipts departament/responsible for issuing receipts?), and are getting paid by the drivers, and so is RT, who is not in "receipts" but is involved in this area and is going to "receive" (get paid) along with his workmates (is that a pun?). I expect you have to be discreet, but can you give any more context?

even though he doesn't belong in accounts is going to receive

half guessing here as this really is a mess! Have noted discussion and really it comes down to looking at the verb endings to try to figure out what'sgoing on.
My take
The drivers who give money to the staff/personnel are from Domica Ltd/Co. The money goes to APG and RT who are in accounts and JRP is also going to receive money even though he doesn't belong to that department because he spends a lot of time there.
Hope this helps!
