Député

French to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. Constitution of Freemasons
I can't find an equivalent English term in Freemasonry websites. I thought of "Delegate" but am not confident enough:

Discussion

Wendy Streitparth Oct 23, 2010:
@ Infomarex: Very interesting website, but as I understood it all the grandees are classified as officers, i.e. the term is not specific to this question. For want of an insider tip, I would use delegate.
writeaway Oct 23, 2010:
there is lots of info on Freemasons/Freemasonry on the www. It's really worth checking.

Note from asker:
Thank you the term "officer" is certainly appropriate in the lack of anything more specific - amd the "dummies" website is very useful to me.

Thanks very much, Wendy. I'll read through that website before asking any more questions - looks useful.
