I think the idea is that one can't use/reuse or recycle the wastes.

neutral Mr Murray (X) : If the 'scarico' is a fixed piece, I doubt it's disposable; and 'discharge' would sound like what's ultimately contained in the tank, not how that discharge gets there. Now, 'discharge disposer' as a noun might work for me, but it's not a term I know of.

Scarico here is the material discharged not the container, as I see it
agree Michael Brennen : I read the 'scarico a perdere' as 'i prodotti di igienizzazione e alcuni versamenti di vino', not a piece/tray.

drip tray

A tray positioned below the tap designed to collect any spillages made when dispensing the product.
I think it may also be known as an overflow, but I'm not 100% sure. Hopefully other colleagues may be able to confirm this.

neutral Mr Murray (X) : I think because it says the 'scarico a perdere' can accommodate a 20 L tank, and to me, the tray would be serving the same use as the tank; your answer within an answer of 'overflow' is more probable. I even think 'spillage overflow' or 'overflow drain.'

I was thinking more that 'prevede l'utilizzo' means the drip tray must be equipped with a tank, which would probably be connected to it by a hose/pipe, not that the tray would accommodate a tank..

This is very simple. This is the stuff they are throwing away, nothing else. It's just another typical Italian redundancy that confuses the issue.

agree Colin Ryan (X) : I agree with this. The Italians often call a spade a shovel-type spade for digging earth with. Also, the alternative answers imply that the user throws away a 20-litre tank, which seems a bit wasteful to me.
