Swedish term

kuren

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping
För jordningens skull bör kuren placeras minst 5 m. från närmsta spänningsförande del såsom kontaktledningsstolpe eller räl.
This should be my last question on the subject of level crossings.
From the only pictures I could find on the net I would guess this is a hut or a shelter. Any ideas. Thanks

Anna may be correct depending on the context, but the hut could be used for many other purposes besides as a shelter for waiting in.

the waiting hut

There are many references for waiting huts in articles about train stations on Wikipedia.

I guess there might be another phrase for the more contemporary waiting huts, but I couldn't find anything else.

the shelter

I assume we are talking about "en väntekur" and the word that first comes to mind from an Australian perspective is "shelter".
It seems to be commonly used in the UK as well - see ref.
