As a title of a seminar of a clinical monitor [a company that oversees the conduct of clinical trials).

Anne Schulz Sep 19, 2010:
@Annett I like it. How about "Confident presentation - effective argument" (taking the term from your - argument ;-). (And how about posting your suggestion as an answer?)
Lirka (asker) Sep 19, 2010:
@Bernhard: It's not about equipment ( monitor) but a surveillance authority overseeing a clinical trial --usually one person.
Lirka (asker) Sep 19, 2010:
@Annett, Yes, it is NOT a piece of equipment :)
Annett Kottek (X) Sep 19, 2010:
@ Lirka, I took 'clinical monitor' to mean a watchdog or some such body, rather than a piece of equipment. But is that correct?
Annett Kottek (X) Sep 19, 2010:
Confident presentation → Effective performance Maybe? I like the parallelism in the source text because it suggests that there’s a proportionate relationship between an author’s style of delivery and the persuasiveness of his or her argument/findings: the more confident the presentation, the more effective the argument (basic rhetoric, I guess). Hence my little arrow to show this causal relationship in the seminar title: 'Confident presentation → Effective performance'. But I’m not sure how people feel about symbols in headings.
Bernhard Sulzer Sep 19, 2010:
Hi lirka. do you take the effective conveyance (presentation of facts, explanations) as a consequence of the assured (reliable) monitor (display)?

Reliable product (procedure) - Efficient performance

It's a title of a seminar, so I have taken the liberty of using product / procedure instead of "introduction / presentation which is mostly used for translating "praesentieren".

Depending on your text, if you want to highlight on the clinical monitor, you may opt for "product", and if the intention is to highlight the procedures followed in the clinical trial, then "procedure" can be preferred.
