French term

imprimé cachemire

French to English Marketing Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
From the description of some lingerie:
"A l’image du body Midnight en dentelle Leavers et soie stretch, bordé d’une fine dentelle de Calais ou de l’ensemble soutien-gorge triangle et culotte taille haute Naïade en *mousseline de soie stretch imprimé cachemire*, finition fil de lumière." Anyone knows what they are describing? Thanks

Discussion

Wendy Streitparth Jun 26, 2010:
Kashmir print (rather than cashmere) seems to be widely used for paisley design
Travelin Ann Jun 26, 2010:
That's what we are here for - to help and to learn, right?
Marco Solinas (asker) Jun 26, 2010:
Ah Ah Yes! That is it. Thanks Gail, thanks Ann. That explains it all. It is Kashmir the region, not cashemere the fiber. I am a smarter oerson now.

Marco Solinas (asker) Jun 25, 2010:
Yes, paisley print sounds good I found some bilingual sites that render "imprimé cachemire" as "paisley print". I am still puzzled, how does the cashemere fit in?
Travelin Ann Jun 25, 2010:
I think Gail's option may be a better lead.
Marco Solinas (asker) Jun 25, 2010:
Neither would I Thanks Ann: but how does this work? Here you have a stretch silk muslin fabric, but then there is a printed cashmere on top of it? It sound weird.
Travelin Ann Jun 25, 2010:
Cashmere can be printed, but I, for one, would not like that for an undergarment!
