Pour XXX qui a vécu les quarante premières années de sa vie dans un univers grillagé – le gris est aussi une couleur bien particulière – l'utilisation de toutes les couleurs est aussi bien autre chose. Matisse disait : La couleur est une libération. XXX ne pourrait pas mieux dire et c'est sans doute pourquoi il l’a longtemps utilisée avec tant de discrétion.
Aujourd'hui, avec ce travail étonnant, il nous en fait voir de toutes les couleurs.
