Spanish term
habilita a efectivizar
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Uruguay
Full sentence:
La existencia de un grupo económico, por si sola, no *habilita a efectivizar* la responsabilidad de sus integrantes.
I assume this means that the mere existence of an economic group is not sufficient to make its members liable. Am I missing something, or is there a more formal legalese way of expressing that?

Not inept meaning incompetent, of course.
The asker's formulation would work perfectly well legalistically, arguably throughout the Eng.-speaking world.
