The honeymoon is just a surprise, not a 'statement' that their marriage has gone stale/flat/boring and needs a new lease of life.
Jump start of jump leads for a car that won't start/has a flat battery.
Our wedded bliss is complete. We couldn't be more blissful if we tried.
(This is sometimes used sarcastically...how long have you been married? 18 years of wedded bliss!)
bliss= the highest state of happiness, a happiness made in Heaven

It\'s not just cars that sometimes need jump-starting...hearts can sometimes need a bit of a boost, too.
Not that we need to call in the crash team to get our marriage up and running.
Not our marriage needs a huge electric shock!

We don't NEED this; we're as happy as can be
JUMPSTART: when a car won't start, you push it and when it's rolling you put it into gear - sort of forcing the car to start. Here used fig. about the marriage, that it needs a push to get started.
WEDDED BLISS: a married couple completely happy.
Dante is saying (not truthfully) that their marriage doesn't really need a push, they are already as happy as they can be.

: I thought a jump start was done by connecting the dead battery to the battery of another car by a "jump cable" then turning the ignition key.

I think that IS another way to jump start a car, I just thought the other ex. was easier to compare to their marriage. Cheers :o)

: Especially with Fuad. A jump start requires jump leads. What you've described is a bump start ... but pedantry aside, you're going in the right direction.

Thanks. Well, what can I say - dictionaries are not always to be trusted. I looked up jump-leads, and it says you're right; under jump start it says what I described, so...! Thanks for the correction both of you; I shall make a note.
