I seems the author has tried to mix some French in possibly and made a mess of it. Anyone know what this is supposed to be?

Probably "brunoise" would the term the author intendend to use. From the french, also used in spanish and english. A type of cut for vegetables.

: It must be a spelling error and should be brunoise. By the way, finely chopped in this manner it's diced to about 1/8th of an inch.
