Hi, I'm having difficulty understanding the Spanish in the following sentence (about an artist):
Replegado en su yo, Luis parecía alejarse del mundo para mejor vislumbrar mirando dentro de sí, contornos de lo humano"
I have "to gain a better insight into himself, the vague outlines of what it is to be human" but it doesn't sound great!
