Spanish term

se caen de viejas

Not for points Spanish to English Other Linguistics
I just wanted to know if caerse can mean become? Or does this mean to fall into old age?

Discussion

Caolan_Conno (X) (asker) Feb 11, 2010:
The writer is talking about women/mothers who are infantilised by paternalism, if that makes any sense.

" con ese paternalismo que infantiliza a las mujeres hasta que se caen de viejas"
Lisa McCarthy Feb 11, 2010:
agree that context is important here -
margaret caulfield Feb 11, 2010:
Caolan, I wouldn't say so. If you give us some context, we may be able to help you to know exactly what this means, which could be several things, depending on the context.
