I'm not sure of the best way to translate this a watch-making context (die? stamp? matrix?). I know this term appears elsewhere in kudoz, but not in this particular context and I get very few hits for my ideas on google so am worried they are not right.

: I have to say that I think this is a mis-translation on the site. I really can't reconcile "étampé" ("stamped") and "embossed", they are surely two different processes.
