: I think that 'NAS' is superfluous in the original Italian version, but since the author wrote it I think it should be included. NAS = NOS in its English form.

I'm quite sure it's superfluous - after all, what does routine mean anyway? Besides, NOS appears to be used with syndromes and tumours, but not in relation to chest x-rays (not at least in English).

the question is: "what does nas stand for ?" the Latin term is not unknown in medicine, so why should one distort or adapt it to British usage?
