French term

semblable le sentiment d'un destin

French to English Social Sciences General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Heritage
This is from a document relating to a joint programme between several countries to promote their military heritage sites. This whole sentence is causing me problems to be honest. Any help is much appreciated.

Cette mobilisation doit s'accompagner d'une réappropriation des populations et de la prise de conscience de partager au delà d'un patrimoine semblable le sentiment d'un destin.

Thank you

Rebecca Elliott (asker) Dec 7, 2009:
Thank you, although I'm still having difficulty with the translation. Must be a Monday morning block!
Stéphanie Soudais Dec 7, 2009:
You should read... la prise de conscience de partager, au delà d'un patrimoine semblable, le sentiment d'un destin.

voilà à mon avis comment on peut l'interpréter
Note from asker:
Thank you - that has helped a lot.
Peer comment(s):

agree Michel F. Morin : Yes. Les mots associés entre eux sont effectivement "semblable / patrimoine ", et "sentiment / destin" (un destin commun...).

French term (edited): semblable le sentiment d\\\'un destin

"semblable" or "semble"?

Are you sure it's "semblable" and not "semble"? Please double check.
Note from asker:
The text definitely says "semblable".
Peer comment(s):

neutral Stéphanie Soudais : The French would be meanless with "semble"
