German term

Koilausbringung

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
From a contract. XX is going to arrange for YY to be supplied with a precisely specified quantity of Stahlbleche, which YY will use to manufacture machine parts for XX.

Discussion

John Owen Aug 12, 2009:
Yes, that is how I had understood the text and tried to express it in my explanation. I still feel that 'yield' fits quite well here, i.e. how many plates the coil material *yields* = ausbringt

coil yield

Due to the production method, sheet steel coils have different lengths, i.e. the number of Bleche from a coil varies. As coils are sold by weight, the number of Bleche is the yield per coil.

ThyssenKrupp uses "yield" for "Coilsausbringung", see the link below and select the botton two PDFs for D & E respectively.
The terms are about two thirds down on page 2:

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "With apologies to the other John - I chose this answer because the explanation of just what a coil is was particularly helpful."

coil deployment

Is one possible option. Although AFAIK the normal German for coil is "Coil", not "Koil", but that is irrelevant here, which why I thought I'd mention it.

coil yield

How much material is on the coil (I agree with Alan on the spelling), or how much can be produced from the coil material
