German term

Standortausgleich

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Int'l Advertisement Campaign Agreement
The term "Standortausgleich" appears in a sub-section of a contract. I do not have the entire contract, so I don't have a full knowledge of its contents. However, the agreement involves one advertisement agency already contracted by an end client, who in turn is employing another advertisement agency to perform the services.

The term appears in the following context:

My thought is "on site settlement", but I don't have a clear concept of what is involved. What is being (ausgeglichen) settled? Is it an overview of the (Haendlers) merchants' budgets?

Thanks in advance for your help.

locality adjustment

In the Fed government here in the USA, they have a locality pay adjustment to make up for people in NYC earning the same base salary as those in, say, Amarillo, Tx.

So something like this might fit.

Thanks for the answer. Your suggestion makes sense.

site adjustment

We could do with some more context, though I appreciate that you probably don't have any. Is this the first time in the document that the word appears?

I thought "site" as in "office" or "location", and "adjustment" as in making sure that they get paid the amount they're actually owed rather than what they've received.
Note from asker:
Yes, it is the first time the term appears in my copy of the document. It's tough to decipher some of these terms without further background, I know.
Thanks, Phil. I ended up going with jccantrell's answer, but I appreciate your contribution.

location compensation

Other creative and professional occupations, however, clearly show signs of requiring a higher wage incentive to attract talent to the Benton Harbor area. In the case of architecture/engineering and social service occupations, in particular, the difference is
immense—over $10,000 in annual salary premium over the high-performance average. Even a difference of two or three thousand dollars shows that a location compensation is
occurring, especially when you take into account the relatively lower cost of housing in Berrien County.

Thanks, Audrey. Your answer makes sense as well. I ended up going with jccantrell's answer because it had the element of pay scales or modifications based on location. Thank you for your contribution!
