That's really helpful Elena. I think this is probably the right direction, but "split tube folder" seems to be a machine accessory rather than a type of stitching. Given the doubts, I've written to the client asking him to explain the term more clearly. I'll let you know.

You could be right and that was in fact my first thought, but from the context it would seem to be a sort of stitching, together with "rimaglio" and "tagliacuci". Or am I just complicating things???
