El término curso en español tiene tres acepciones:
1) asignatura (course, subject) o actividad docente (curso sobre recursos electrónicos de la biblioteca, por ejemplo)
2) año de estudios (estudiantes de primer curso: first year students)
3) año académico (2009-2010
El contexto en que se suele usar la frase "cursos para los que se oferta" puede referirse (estoy bastante seguro, pero hace falta confirmación por tu parte) a una actividad académica no reglada (seminario, ciclo de conferencias...) que se oferta a estudiantes de los últimos cursos (años de la carrera).
