Spanish term

Paralización del tráfico

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Insurance general liability
Context:

"Cobertura: RC Explotación y RC Profesional. Incluye paralización del tráfico y daños a aeronaves."

En una póliza de seguros para una empresa que trabaja en un aeropuerto. Posiblemente "paralización del tráfico" se refiere a "paralización del tráfico aéreo"

"disruptions to the air traffic?" Creo que "disruption" no implica una paralización o interrupción total del tráfico aéreo.¿alguna sugerencia?

Muchísimas gracias.

GROUNDING OF AIR TRAFFIC / AIR TRAFFIC GROUNDING / AIR TRAFFIC STOPPAGE

As a result, industry analysts and a number of former Federal Aviation Administration staff members said they believe there is heightened likelihood of a major **air traffic stoppage**, as was demonstrated three times this summer by the crash of the system head in Atlanta.

My parents had been stationed on the Bay Island of Roatan in the Caribbean for just over a year, and this was my first visit since they left the States the day before the **air traffic grounding** on 9-11-2001.

At least a dozen organ and tissue transplants have been disrupted by this week's **grounding of air traffic**, which kept tissue from being flown cross-country and prevented surgeons from traveling to harvest donor hearts, livers and kidneys.

And the Sept. 11 attacks changed banking in another respect, accelerating the shift away from paper check processing toward electronic
processing, said Mike Collins, a senior vice president of supervision and regulation with the U.S. Federal Reserve.

That's because the **grounding of air traffic** in the days after the attacks prevented banks from shipping paper checks across the country.

grounding of (air) traffic

If it relates to air traffic not flying (typically for for security reasons), the expression is grounding, to be grounded:

There are many other examples like the above. This one is an EU report on the commercial and specifically insurance (see point 3, 19) implications of lage-scale grounding of aircraft:

I'm not 100% sure that this is what you're looking for, but I can't think what else it would be. I hope it helps!
