Dachkonto Holding account perhaps? I have a context: "... oder produktübergreifend auf allen Kontoebenen (Dachkonto, Unterkonto, etc.)"
sappho (asker) Apr 21, 2009:
Dachkonto Hmmm, didn't do my homework very well I'm afraid. I have just noticed that the word Dachkonto appears four times in the same text, making it unlikely that it is actually a mistake. What do you think?

What about umbrella account? It is used quite a lot in the banking world. Have you got a bit more context?

nominal account (inventory or impersonal account) in case it should

read Sachkonto. Dachkonto would be an account comprising several administrated accounts.

an additional synonym would be GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNT, since Sachkontonummer is translated as <general ledger account number >
