transfer

This is the correct term.
Peer comment(s):

agree Mark Straver : Exactly! You transfer digital files or photos to and from an external medium, this includes but is not limited to copying.

Copy

Although both terms sound ok, I would opt for 'copy' as 'transfer' insinuates that they may be deleted from the original source location, which is not necessarily the case. Also, Windows reference material uses the term 'copy'.

agree palilula (X) : When you upload a file, it doesn't get deleted from the original location. But "copy" is OK.

upload

Both the previous answers are correct. Anyway if you want to give musicality to the sentence you can use the two similar verbs:
Digital photos or pictures downloaded from the Internet can be then uploaded on your pen drive
Peer comment(s):

agree palilula (X) : ...or "can be stored"...

Thank you Ingrid!
disagree Mark Straver : Uploading is only used if you actually transfer something to a remote system (and usually limited to a server), the same as downloading is limited to the same for the reverse direction. You don't "upload" something to a floppy disk either.
