bushing
Wear bushings incorporate the following features:
· running and retrieving using straight-in/straight-out operations and no rotation or
jaying is required.
· a shear pin design for installation, with approximately 25,000 lb overpull is
required to retrieve the running tool
· a composite lockdown element which provides approximately 55,000 lb lockdown
force, the 13-3/8” locks to the wellhead housing, while the 9-5/8” and 10-3/4” lock
inside the casing hanger.
· can be run and a BOP test performed on the same trip.
· are rated for the 3.8 million lb load (induced by 15,000 psi BOP pressure tests).
· have a trash seal at the upper end to prevent debris from collecting between the
wear bushing and the wellhead housing.
